Position SummaryCONES Solutions is looking to expand our Administrative Team for our primary location in Moline, IL. We are seeking qualified applicants for an Accounting Specialist position. The Accounting Clerk supports the General Manager in completing the activities of the accounting department and is responsible for the general business functions. This position is primarily responsible for data entry, invoicing, collections, and maintaining accurate accounting records. Primary duties and responsibilities include: Accounts Receivable - Compile, sort, verify, and post details of business transactions, such as invoicing and processing funds to the accounting general ledger and bank Accounts Payable - Audit and prepare vouchers, invoices, checks, statements, reports, and other records and reviews for accuracyEnsure collections occur on a timely basisReconcile reports, discrepancies, and problemsAnswer, direct, or take messages for all account inquiriesOther duties as assignedJob Expectations:Accurately compute, compile, classify, record, verify, and maintain numerical data used for accounting recordsMaintain a high level of visual attention and mental concentration for significant periods of timeAnalyze and interpret business transactionsRead, analyze, and interpret industry-related materialsCommunicate effectively with customers, vendors, and employeesAbility to solve complex accounting problems and deal with numerous variables concerning company accountsAbility to sit for extended periods of timeAbility to exert up to 20 pounds of force to move objectsEducation, Training, and Experience Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent certificateTwo-year associate degree in accounting preferred OR equivalent experienceTwo or more years of prior work experience in an office environmentProficient with information technology tools and applications (e.g., PC/Windows, Office applications, business systems, etc.)Benefits Include:Performance-based bonus and pay increasesVacation and sick timeHealth, vision, and dental plansDisability and life insuranceCompany-match retirement planQualified tuition reimbursementCompany InformationFounded in 1966, CONES Solutions is a commercial food and beverage equipment sales and service facility.
